Editing process

The first thing I did when editing this shot was to open the Brightness/contrast adjustments in photography mode in photoshop.

then I tried increasing the contrast witch resulted in the image becoming too dark.

looking at the image I changed in the level of contrast till it looked more natural and gave the image a slightly darker tone.

When I was done with the contrast I then opened the Hue/Saturation to continue editing the image, I lowered the saturation until the image became black and white to see if it would look better. However I decided to keep the image in colour so to keep with the colour scheme.

Returning to the original saturation I added 20 to increase the colour levels.

Next I experimented with selective colouring adjustments, changing the red and yellow content in the image to make the autumn background more vibrant.

Once I was done editing the image I needed to merge the different layers into one that could then be transferred.

copying and pasting the edited image to be in the same tab as the template for the digipak

then moving the edited image to cover the original I could then click on the eye button of each layer to see which layer looks the best.
