All done

Hello!

I decided very last minute to make a video rounding up my experience of making this music video. (Sorry for the quality, I'm definitely not used to being in front of a camera and I mumble a lot~)

I really enjoyed this experience. I got to meet new people, and do something very unique and fun. While I did find some parts challenging, the experience I got out of it made it so much better. I hope you enjoyed reading this blog and also watching our video.

Thank you!

Evaluation: Question 4

What have you learned from your audience feedback?

Here is a video containing some of the feedback I got from our target audience:

I made this video showing the trip to the cinema screening. It includes people's reactions.
We were shown first, which I feel as though may have let us down, as there were a lot of other great videos shown after and it's hard to remember them all.

Jack: The Amber Adams song was amazing. I'm her biggest fan. I don't think, there's never been a time when I wasn't wishing I was listening to Amber Adams. The video was really good. The shots were really good, amazing, and the editing was very professional.
Seun: It being first was kind of difficult to remember. But I think the video came out really really well. I like the fact that I know Dan was really focusing on making sure the jump cuts were on the beat and that was really really successful. The timing worked really well. Heather's performance also was really good. The video was great to be honest.
Seren: I love the shots, there was a variety of good shots. The locations were really good and the lighting was also very good.

Hiya!

This has been such a great experience, I have loved working on this production and my team and I have done our very best with this project. I have made some great friends in Dan,Jess and Lily and they were amazing people to work with throughout. It's given me a taste of the music industry and media in a job sense and shows what hard work and great people can do!

Amber Adams is pure gold and I loved being her and singing for my team.

It's been a blast!

Heather.

I have to have a general plan to make sure nothing goes wrong and I'm graphing my ideas and concepts along the way.

DONTS.

Copyrights: don't steal or take anything from anyone's webpages. Make sure everything is all my own work and I'm not just copying from other people's ideas.you need permission from the artists of some webpages to use their photos music and words.

With my webpage I can't write massive paragraphs as I need to be straight to the point and use all the platforms I have to persuade my audience to want to buy her album and buy tour tickets.

Make sure everything interlinks. My digipak,Music video and webpage have to have the same colour scheme to make the audience aware it is the artist from a first glance.

Don't make it about me. This is not about my personal preference it is all about the audience.

Q2:How effective is the combination of your main product (video) and ancillary texts (digipak/band website)?

Copyrights

℗ 2015 The copyright in this sound recording is owned by Universal Studios © 2015 Amber Adams partnership under exclusive license to Universal Studios. This label copy information is the subject of copyright protection. All rights reserved.  © Universal Studios 5014016150821 Made in the Uk. AmberAdams.com

I will be using something like this when copyrighting my album. This is an actual copyright of universal records but with my artists name instead of the original artist. Copyrights are really important as it shows its your work and you have all rights to it so no one can rip you off or steal your work.

For my digital pak I wanted to copy something similar to Gabrielle Aplin. She used a black and white setting and then had herself in colour with a simplistic text so all focus was on the artist.

My colour scheme is going to be greens and orange mostly. This links with the mise en scene of our video with the autumn scenery and leaves falling in arrays of oranges and reds. I want to incorporate these colours in my webpage and my digipak.

The webpage has to be eye catching. Paloma faiths website influences me as it is big and bold and colours that represent her are used throughout.

My main influence was Gabrielle Aplin:

http://gabrielleaplin.co.uk

She was our main influence as we wanted our artist to be like her. We wanted a down to earth vibe and a natural look and Gabrielle's music, colour schemes and synergy presents that. Her colour scheme for her digital pak of black and white and her in colour is sown thing I wanted to capture in mine.

Q3:How did you use media technologies in the construction and research, planing and evaluation stages?

Our social media was a vital part of our production process, it was our way of keeping the audience up to date with our artists journey. Throughout filming we took photos of the team and the artist mid film and the artist in photo shoots to give the audience a sneak peak into what the video would be. On instagram our captions were always from the artists point of view to give the fans a personal side of her. Our facebook page was the most successful its where we posted feedback, rough cuts and all the photos and little messages. Averagely we got around 42 views a day.

Blogger

We used blogger to document every part of the production process, we posted screenshots and all our ancillary and throughout filming kept it up to date with what is going on. It was also a way for our teachers to keep track of our work and the rest  of our team.

Photoshop

I used photoshop when it came down to starting my digipak. Without it i don't think i would of got as good a product as i did. Photoshop was where i cropped all my ancillary photos, merged two together to create a cover that was suitable for my target audience. It gave me the freedom to choose what i thought was appropriate for my digipak like the colour scheme and font and using other digipaks for a starting point, mould together my ideas and make the come to life on a screen.

Premier Pro

premier pro was considerably easy to get the hang of as it is similar to the old software final cut pro. I used premier pro, alongside my group, to piece together all of the base tracks for our music video and slowly make the filming look like a conventional music video for our genre. We included effects that we made manually like flickers as the beat and bass increased so that our video was in speed with the upbeat tempo of the song.
