Production: Draft Video 2
Here is our second draft:
Feedback:
- Avoid cutting in the middle of a lyric
- Refine the beat to the beat editing
- Experiment with other cut aways
- Some shots are slightly out in terms of the lip sync
- Missing some different angles
- Count the amount of close ups
- Improve the lip sync
- Camera was slightly shaky
- Good response to the flicker effect
- Some parts were too repetitive
- Use wider variety of effects
- Song is very energetic so more cuts could be used to reflect this
- Not keen on the still shots moving backwards and forwards
- Not a big fan of standing still and singing
- Vary shot types

Production: Draft Video 1
Here is our draft video:
Feedback:
- There should be a clearer visual link to the different parts of the song, following Andrew Goodwin's conventions of Music Videos.
- Use costume or location to help this.
- Add more cut aways - less of just the artist.

Production of Music Video: Filming Diary Day 1
Hello!
During half term, our group decided to film, and so planned to meet up at Stratford station around 10/11 on the 29th October. Unfortunately, Lily wouldn't be able to come until later and so myself, Dan and Heather had to get started without her. Also, the only camera I could use until Lily arrived was my phone camera and so a few of the photos are bad quality.
We got started with the red/pink spray hair dye which I had bought from Sainsburys, as this would be the synergy in the music video, and our artist's signature look. We also walked around Stratford, to get a feel of our filming location. We decided on a few places that we would film in over the next couple of weeks. For example, we filmed on a bus stop, as we felt that the scenery behind was clear and it made for an amazing shot.
A lot of the day was about getting started, and definitely got us in the filming mindset, and we were determined to get most of our shots filmed that day.
Eventually Lily came and we told her about all the shots we had done, and what we had planned and she was very happy about it. We all worked well in a team, and all got to film parts, and also recommended areas. For example, Lily liked the look of some leaves and we got a shot of the leaves. We also wanted an 'Autumn feel' and used that by throwing leaves behind her, which we found funny, but it looks good.
I got to film quite a lot, and my favourite shot that I got was a tracking shot down a path. The camera isn't completely steady but it works, and Heather's performance got better and better throughout the day.
All in all, the first day of filming was very successful, and got a lot of shots we can use.

Production of Music Video: Filming Diary Day 3
Hello!
We decided to film during lesson time on Tuesday, as we felt we needed some more footage, especially more tracking shots. We agreed to meet in Stratford, and film in the Olympic Park.
However, Dan needed to go back to pick up some things, so we met him in Leyton. Me, Lily, Heather and her friend, a fellow media student, Liam, met him at Chobham Road and filmed around the area. We liked the street view, and the pub so filmed lots of shots there. This time round Dan and Lily filmed, while I purely took photos/videos for behind the scenes.
We then went to the park, right around the corner, which was full of leaves. We felt as though this added to the tone of the music video, and the colour. We also filmed some shots on the swings, and a bench as we felt they would look good.
All photos by me.

Production of Music Video: Filming Diary Day 2
Hello!
On Friday 30th October 2015, myself, Dan, Heather and Lily arranged to meet at Leyton station to film. However, we had a few issues as Heather and Lily had a few travel issues as they lived further away than Dan and I did. We also had to pick up a permit to film in a specific area in Stratford, as that was one of the issues we ran into the day before. So while waiting for the others to arrive, Dan and myself, along with 3 of his friends, went into Stratford and got things sorted.
It started raining at first, so we were worried that we'd have to postpone filming for the day. Luckily, one of Dan's friends had an umbrella with him, which he let us borrow.
Once they arrived, we settled in very quickly. We sorted out Heather's hair, and went straight into filming. Me and Dan both took turns filming, and Lily and I also took photos for the blog and social media. We filmed from around 3pm and finished around 6/7pm. We filmed a lot of tracking shots, as there are a lot of small pathways in the area.
We found a cool mirrored art piece in the Woodlands area, and had to film in it. We used a range of different angles, almost confusing the audience.

Pitch Edit: Industry (Jessica Taylor)
Hello!
Following our feedback from our pitch, I decided to change some aspects of my industry post. We decided not to be so inspired by Taylor Swift and instead follow artist more like Gabrielle Aplin.
Our chosen record label is Universal Music Group. It is one of the largest music corporation. We feel as though our artist being signed to such a large company will give them bigger opportunities, such as more money being invested into them and therefore there is a lot more confidence that they will get recognition. This also allows higher quality products, such as singles and music videos.
Gabrielle Aplin, one of our influences, is signed to Parlophone, which is owned by Warner Music Group. This is also a part of the 'big three', just like Universal. However, Universal is bigger.
Taylor Swift is signed to the independent label 'Big Machine Records' which specializes in country music. Big Machine Records' distributor is Universal Music Group. While we are inspired much more by other artist, we want our artist to be a household name, just like Taylor.
Our target audience is teenage girls, who are avid users of the internet and social media. Because of this, our song will be available for internet download and available to listen to online streaming applications, such as Spotify and Pandora. Although Taylor has not allowed any of her music to be streamed online, we disagree with this and want our artist to get as much exposure as possible.
